† Ash Wednesday Service will be held this week, 5:30 PM in the sanctuary, 2/22. This day begins the season of Lent, a period of preparation, reflection and renewal for Christians the world over.
† The Way of Prayer, a group for spiritual growth, will be offered, meeting in March and April on Wednesday nights, 6:30 to 8:30. Lora Andrews will be leading this experience, and will be holding an informational meeting for interested participants on Wednesday night, 2/29. Like Disciple Bible Study and other small group experiences that have been offered at EEUMC, this group is an opportunity to share with 8 to 12 others in learning about traditional forms of prayer, experiencing some ways to pray that fit with our lives today, and developing new friendships with fellow participants. You may contact Lora or Pastor Diane to sign up.
† Wednesday Night Adult Study, 2/22 and 2/29 continues the study of What's the Least I Can Believe and Still Be a Christian: A Guide to What Matters Most. We will consider both: Ten things that Christians don't need to believe AND Ten things Christians do need to believe. All adults are welcome to share in these sessions
† We welcome New Members, Liz Graham and Garrett DeVaughan, as they join our congregation today. They will be married this April 14.
† Wednesday Children's Choir, Feb. 22 &. 29, 6:45 - 7:30p.m. Jamie Helms will lead children ages 4-9. The nursery is available for the under 4 jet set.
† Sunday Morning Adult Study Group, 9:15-10a.m. During February, adults are invited to join Lora Andrews in a study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians. In March, the study group will focus on Philippians.
† Chili Cook-off, Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 6 p.m.
† The Middle Grounders are invited to gather March 2, 6:30p.m. at the Lawrence house, 2811 Hody Dr. (37206) for fellowship and food.
