Men's Turkey FryBest turkey you've ever tastedThe East End United Methodist Church Men's Service Group fries turkeys each year for Thanksgiving at the church (1212 Holly Street). If you've never tried fried turkey, it's amazing -- moist, incredibly flavorful -- once you try fried, you'll never go back! Each turkey is approximately 12-14 lbs. and is hand-rubbed with a secret spice mix (an old family recipe), allowing them to marinate overnight, then deep fried to golden perfection. Turkeys are available for pickup at the church the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The price for the best turkey you ever tasted is only $40. Each of the past two years has sold out quickly and had lots of folks who wanted a turkey and could not get one. ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER of fried turkeys are available and sold by reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. Orders can be made through the church office at 227-3272. Funds benefit missions of the Men’s Group and Scout Troop 3.
The East End UMC Men's Service Group is open to all men. We come together to help make God's love real in the world through our service -- and we also have a blast with great Christian fellowship. (And while you don't have to like pork, it doesn't hurt.) We meet montly for breakfast on Sunday mornings.
