What To Expect
COME AS YOU ARE
Whether you’ve been part of a church for years or you’re walking through the doors for the first time, you are welcome here at East End. We gather for worship, community, and connection in a way that makes room for questions, curiosity, joy, and the unexpected.
Before You Arrive
We have parking available near our current worship location. Visit our Plan Your Visit page for parking information, directions, and transportation options.
Warner is served by WeGo Public Transit. Route 4 (Shelby) stops nears the school of S. 5th St. & Russell St., just a short walk from the shool.
You can enter through either the front of back door of Warner. For an accessible entrance, there is parking at the back of the school with an entrance that takes you to an elevator that accesses the auditorium where we currently worship.
Yes! We have an accessible entrance in the back of the school, where there is parking and entry that takes you to an elevator that accesses the auditorium where we currently worship.
Worship begins at 10:00 AM, so plan to arrive by then. Arriving a few minutes early gives you time to find parking, get settled, and find a seat before worship begins.
You can expect to be greeted warmly and genuinely by people who are glad you're here. Whether you come with friends, family, or on your own, there's no special preparation required. Just come as you are.
During Worship
Worship at East End brings together Scripture, preaching, prayer, music, and community. We worship deeply while making space for questions, curiosity, joy, and the unexpected.
Music is an important part of life at East End. Our music ministry includes a variety of musical offerings, including choir, orchestra, acoustic music, and more.
Sunday morning worship lasts approximately one hour. We gather for music, prayer, Scripture, preaching, and community before heading into the rest of our Sunday.
Participate in whatever ways feel comfortable to you. You're welcome to sing, pray, listen, ask questions, or simply take in the experience. There's no expectation that you have everything figured out before you arrive.
Not at all. Giving is an important part of how our community supports the work of East End, but there is never an expectation to give. If you're worshiping with us, simply being here is enough.
Here at East End, we are a United Methodist Church, and in the United Methodist Church, we have an open table, and that means anyone and everyone is welcome to come and partake in this holy meal. Please visit our Communion page for more information.
What Should I Wear?
Nope. Come as you are. There's no right way to dress for worship at East End.
You'll find people wearing a variety of styles, from casual to more formal attire.
Come Just As You Are
You don’t have to know exactly what to expect or have everything figured out before you visit. Come as you are, ask questions, and experience East End for yourself. Our community is here to help you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
Children and Families
We love having children present in worship, even when that means dancing in the aisles or making a little noise. Be sure to check out the Children’s Worship Resources in the back of the worship space to find additional tools to help your child engage in worship. Children are an important part of our community.
Our Nursery Ministry is available during Sunday morning worship for children 8 weeks through 4 years old.
Absolutely! Children are welcome to remain in worship with their families. Children ages 4 years through 2nd grade may also participate in Children's Church during the sermon portion of the worship experience. Nursery ministry is available for children ages 8 weeks-4 years.
East End offers opportunities for children, youth, and families to grow in faith and community together. Visit our Children and Family Ministry and Youth Ministry pages to learn more and get connected.
