Youth
COME AS YOU ARE
EEUMC Youth Group is a place to connect, have fun, ask questions, and explore faith together.
Gather, Connect, and Grow
Open to students in 5th through 12th grade, our youth community brings together old and new friends through regular gatherings, shared experiences, service opportunities, and the wider life of East End.

Whether you've grown up at East End, you're joining us for the first time, or you're somewhere in between, you're welcome here.

Throughout the year, youth gather regularly to share a meal, catch up about the week, and spend time together in small groups. Gatherings might include Bible study, discussion, games, creative activities, prayer, or other ways to explore faith and build relationships.

We make space for honest questions and conversations, while creating a community where young people can be themselves and grow together.
Fun Together
Some of our favorite youth experiences are simply about having fun together. Throughout the year, we make time to get out of our regular routine and enjoy being together.

That might mean heading to a ballgame, having a holiday or Halloween celebration, playing games, swimming, sharing a meal, or trying something completely new. There’s always room for laughter and a little friendly competition.

Opportunities Specifically For Youth
We encourage youth and their families to participate in every aspect of our church life together.

Sunday Worship
Come hang out with old and new friends and be part of a community where you can laugh, learn, question, and grow together.

Weekly Youth Group Gatherings
EEUMC Youth Group meets weekly on Sunday evenings, enjoying a meal together, sharing their highs and lows from the week, and then small group activity and discussion time.

Outreach Opportunities
Youth have opportunities throughout the year to serve our neighbors, support local organizations, and put their faith into action through hands-on service and meaningful community connections.

Mountain T.O.P.
Each summer, our 6th–12th graders travel to the “forgotten Appalachians” of Grundy County to serve alongside adult volunteers, meeting community needs through projects like yard work, porch construction, wheelchair ramps, and home repairs. Youth spend a week together in a camp setting, building friendships, having fun, and putting their faith into action through service.

Confirmation
We offer Confirmation Classes where young people learn the core tenets of the Christian faith, explore our United Methodist heritage, and grow in their relationship with God and one another. At the conclusion of the class, confirmands are invited to declare their faith and join in full membership with East End UMC.
Stay Up to Date
We send weekkly Youth Emails to help you stay updated on youth events.
